What happened inside the dollar store?

After we went to the asian market, we stop by at the dollar store, just to see what we can buy. Actually I'm a dollar store fan! I always buy stuffs here. As a homemaker, I always find things that I can bargain and save money. Some says dollar store is nothing but all craps. But hell yo! I love this store! It helps you save some bucks! Why do I have to pay $2 for a palmolive dish washing soap when I can buy it for $1 at the dollar store! How about things for the party especially kids birthday party. Dollar store is the best bargain out there! From balloons, giveaways, crafts, gift bags etc. They are great! It just make my party favor and my life easier!

So, anyway,  I wasn't able to buy anything this time because I was so busy taking videos. Then I meet a relative inside the store, and  we just couldn't stop chatting! Marie though, bought some things for Mayumi. She bought her a hair clips and bands for $3.

So, anyway here is what happened inside the dollar store. If you like the video please subscribe and share my blog to your friends and family! Thank you and God Bless!

Getting to know ate Remedios. The owner of “Baby’s Eatery”

Me and Marie sounds funny acting like an interviewer here heheheh…I’m so glad that ate Remedios and all her staff are so kind to let us take a video inside their nice eatery.  Sharing their life in America and how she become successful  in her business.  Her business is been here for 20 years now. She told us, at first it wasn’t easy. She started it by herself alone. She said that a friend of her told her that “you won’t make money if you're just working as an employee”. “Why don’t you start to have your own food business?” So that’s where she started.

If you happen to be around daly city or in mission street San Francisco please visit her eatery. Their food taste good and is very affordable compare to goldilocks. You can buy 5 pcs of lumpia shanghai for $1. That’s what I always buy from them after my work. They have a variety of Filipino dishes everyday from sinigang, kare-kare, adobo, afretada, pretong isda ang many more plus a free soup when you eat there! By the way we only payed $9.50 for the 2 cups of rice, pancit, and dinuguan that we order! Not really bad for two people plus we had free soup!

Me and Marie goofying around at the asian market and side walk vendor!

After we ate at “baby’s eatery”  Marie wanted  to check out this asian store.  Actually I’ve been here many times to buy meats and fish.  It’s really hard for me to find a fresh sea food in safeway or lucky store, if they do, it’s going to be expensive.  So I always get my meats and sea foods in the asian store because of the variety and affordability. Last time, I bought a fresh salmon head and salmon belly. When I went home I made a spicy salmon head soup and fried salmon belly with rice! So delicious! This is what I missed in the Philippines, because I can’t always eat fish here. My husband would complain about the smell especially when I cooked dried fish! But I’m still grateful I live here in Daly City! I don’t feel so homesick.

As you see in the video. There are lots of Filipinos in this area especially Daly City.  Actually, you can always eat the food that you missed in the Philippines here, because; there are lots of Filipino grocery stores and restaurants. Like the Philippines, you can also see lots of Chinese vendors. It reminds me of divisoria in manila and colon in cebu city.

My little AJ

This is Andrew John "AJ". He is 6 years old, soon to be 7. I just can't wait when he become teenager! I don't know, but I just feel excited for him. I think teenager is the most interesting stage of life. You know, the hormones changes! This is the time when you started to have crushes, puppy love hehehe... I just remember, Oh those days when I couldn't sleep and eat but thinking about my crushes and all the love letters..LOL...This is the time also when they want to be independent, sometimes they become rebellious! For now, he started to give us headaches, sometimes :(...I just hope my AJ will stay as very good kid as he is now. You know, always listening to me! It is not easy to be parent if you want your kids to be successful with their life. Giving them the life to see the beauty and wonders of the world, feeding them, providing shelter is just not enough. Nurturing and discipline is very important!

Let me just give you some verses of the bible that says about nurturing and disciplining of our children. And these, I deeply believe and apply  for my son.
  1. Proverbs 13:24 says, “He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him."
  2. Proverbs 22:6 says "Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it."

  3. Ephesians 6:4 says "And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger; but bring them up (nourish them) in the discipline (training, nurture) and instruction of the Lord."
  4.  4.  Proverbs 29:17 says "Correct your son, and he will give you comfort, He will also delight your soul."

  5. Proverbs 19:18 says "Discipline your son while there is hope, And do not desire his death."
Anyway, the first video is he took it by himself.. I didn't know how he did this. I was in the room folding up the clothes. He took my cell phone and took a video of himself..I think it was funny especially when he gobbled up the spicy nagaraya and half gallon of milk LOL, no, he couldn't eat all of those! He was just being goofy!

The next video is completely acting goofy! By the way, he likes this music because it's one of the soundtrack of the movie cars. He like that movie a lot.

I always love to watch concerts on the dvd, so sometimes we would watch the eagles and toto together. I think he likes to be a guitarist. But unfortunately we don't have guitar in the house so instead, he use the tennis rocket LOL.
